IAMU Federal Employees: Have extra Fed sick leave? Help out a fellow camp mate (by Dec. 18)!

Our friend Marlene Cole, who is currently with USDA Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) is very sick from mold exposure and has used all of her sick leave and other leave in her recovery efforts. Happily, if you are a Federal employee who has some extra leave time that is about to expire (i.e. use it or lose it) or just have some time you may not need, there is a clever program that allows you to donate your time to Marlene or a time bank. Instructions are below if you are a Federal worker who might be able to help out. If you know other other Federal employees, please feel free to forward this to them as well.
Please Note: If you wish to donate any unused annual leave, you must do so by December 18, 2020, for it to be deducted from your leave balance for 2020. If not, it will be deducted from your 2021 leave balance.
Thank you so much for your consideration!
INSTRUCTIONS
Marlene Cole is very sick from mold exposure. She has exhausted all her sick and annual leave and expects to need several more months to (hopefully) recover.
She has been approved to receive donations through the federal Voluntary Leave Transfer Program (VLTP). In the spirit of Thanksgiving, if you are lucky enough to have good health... if you can spare any hours... please consider donating. Even 16 or 8 or 2(!) hours would be much appreciated.
In addition, please share this request for donations with other federal employees.
Please Note: If you wish to donate any unused annual leave, you must do so by December 18, 2020, for it to be deducted from your leave balance for 2020. If not, it will be deducted from your 2021 leave balance.
A note from Marlene: "Thanks so much for your unbelievable support. I don’t know how I managed to find such good friends and colleagues."
